Definition „Polishing“
Polishing describes a smoothing fine processing method for various materials. Depending on the kind of polish a minimal particle removal and deformation of throatiness tips a smoothing effect is achieved. Due to the smooth surface certain brightness is reached.

Aim of Polishing
The intended aim of the polishing procedure is to make the surface by smoothing and ablation to achieve a perfect finish and the requested gloss level. This process is done by very fine polishing agents which are mostly bound in a liquid or paste respectively emulsion and which can be applied superficially.
These polishing agents can also be bound in a cloth, felt, rubber or leather disk. The processing can be made manually (by hand) or mechanically by machine.
